About Leawood Park
Leawood Park has been a cherished part of the community since its establishment in the 1970s, providing residents with a place to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors. What started as a small land donation grew into a thriving park system managed by the Leawood Metropolitan Recreation and Park District. Over the years, the park has expanded, adding new amenities and green spaces to serve the neighborhood.
Announcements
Due to scheduling conflicts, the December board meeting will be moved from Thursday, December 11th to Tuesday, December 9th. The meeting will still be held at Leawood Elementary at 6:00pm.We encourage and appreciate all resident participation.
Board meetings have been moved from the 2nd Wednesday to the 2nd Thursday of each month. Meetings will take place at Leawood Elementary from September 2025 to June 2026. We hope to see you on September 11th at 6pm! Community participation is appreciated and encouraged.
Pavilions at Leawood and Weaver Park can now be reserved. $35 for residents, $75 for non-residents.Contact us at leawoodparks@gmail.com
